Official and unofficial discourse on sustainability.  Although the context for planning is changing the official discourse remains important, because it sets the standard for our planners, unless and until we a) come up with something better and b) make a convincing case to use it instead.

The unofficial discourse is probably more inspiring and thought-provoking.  Most of it will be gathered under ‘Our Favourites’ as we develop this aspect of the Virtual Library.

Localise West Midlands attempts to summarise sustainable development as development that generates wellbeing and equity while using global resources efficiently.
